Review of the 3 Swedes above:
1) James bond- the use of the toy cars to represent the car chase was a good way to represent a high budget cost to the film and be able to use it for little/no cost in the swede of the film- this is a technique we would copy if we were to do a film with a key car chase. On the other hand there was a lot of poor editing with the falls and fight scenes in the clip.
2) E.T. The idea of using toys to represent the characters was an intelligent way of displaying a high budget film for very low cost. The use of the bike lights and cigarette smoke were intelligent uses of resources to show smoke and Extra-Terrestrial occurrences. I also liked the shot of the characters appearing to be moving away from the red sky to which the characters used a painting/drawing. On the other hand there was a lot of giggling over the top of the recording which made the whole SWEDE look unprofessional. Also, the exiting of the alien from the scene in one of the shots is very poor. The alien appears to just be thrown form the scene.
3) Transformers- The clip had a really good use of sound effects throughout, beginning with helicopter at the start of the clip. The acting from the man in the camo playing a leader or general of some kind was strong and believable, this is important when using actors rather than toys or figurines. The use of the boxes on the body to represent the robots was a clever idea to show the things as robots with no budget. The use of levels with the camera was used to show the height and dominance of the robots compared to the people.
